  • Update 2: The new fall menu is excellent. I highly recommend the 'Choose Your Own Adventure' option, because it allows you to try a dish from each course. It was plenty of food for two people and a great value for the quantity and quality. The service was also very friendly! Update 1: We tried out their new summer menu and it's amazing! We chose our own adventure and tried the pork green chile meatballs, the potato salad, the zucchini Tikka masala, the lamb ribs, and the peach dumplings. Everything was cooked perfectly; the flavors were incredible, and it showed the amount of thought and attention to detail in every dish. Service was amazing as well, and the chef was kind enough to stop by our table to chat with us and get our feedback. We're looking forward to trying more dishes on this menu! Initial review: Amazing food, friendly service, and reasonably priced. Everything was super tasty! The trout crocketes with the dill aioli was delicious, the bison steak frites was super tender and the chimichurri sauce brighten up the dish. The shepherd's pie is by far the best we've ever had. Also, our server was very kind and gave us treats for our pup, which he loved!

  • This place is a gem! The food, the atmosphere, the service - fantastic!! Our host, Collin, was amazing and shared so many fun facts about the restaurant, the chef, and the food. He made our first visit to Basecamp amazing. We had one of the “expeditions” - every course was amazing, but my favorite of the night was the Udon and the Carrot Cake for dessert.

  • Crawl, walk, run, drive..whatever it takes to get to Base Camp Restaurant! The food is delicious, with so many unique flavors!! They change their menu every few months, and were excited to go back! The staff was incredible as well! Highly recommend!! We litterally had to try so many menu items because it all looked great and were so happy we did! We had: - BBQ Relleno (lots of flavors!) - Southwest Corn Chowder (sweet & spicy, packed with flavor) - Pork Green Chile Meatballs (spicy and great with the sweet corn muffins/agave butter!) - Bourbon Bison Steak (SO juicy!) -Raspberry Lemon Smores (the marshmallows melt in your mouth!) - Peach Dumplings (peaches wrapped in dumplings with butterscotch sauce!!)

  • Quite possibly the best meal we’ve had in Colorado Springs. We’ve been to Four, Ambli, Sushi Row, Rabbit Hole and countless others but oh my GOD this is good. Service was amazing and Talia paired our selections perfectly and pointed us to all the best selections. The food was incredible. The corn muffins were way too good to be described so simply, the pork relleno was incredible (favorite bite), and the bison was so good. Honestly the best description was from our wait staff saying: “this is fine food, not fine dining” . So true. Warm cozy atmosphere and amazing food. Can’t wait to be back and recommend going before this spot gets found out

  • This seems to be a bit of undiscovered gem. We called through on a Saturday night and while it was pretty quiet the server really made up for it and brought great suggestions and some warm energy. We got The Adventure thing which was 4 plates and a dessert. Everything was really good but especially the Mole Short Rib. We got the Manacotti, Sprouts and the Mussels. Everything was fantastic. The night was so good we're seriously considering the 2 hour trip back down there for their Halloween bash which sounds like it'll be a blast AND amazing value for money.

  • **Highly Recommend ** We had a great time at this new spot! KJ and Eli were amazing—super friendly and made us feel really welcome. The “Choose Your Own Adventure” menu was such a fun idea, and everything we tried was delicious and reasonably priced. Highlights from our meal: the street corn was flavorful and addictive, the barbecue relleno was packed with pulled pork goodness, and the pork green chili meatballs were excellent! The Trout Sandua was refreshing and perfectly cooked. And the raspberry lemon s'mores? Absolute showstopper—sweet, tart, and just the right touch of campfire nostalgia to end the night. It's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for good food, good vibes, and a unique dining experience.

  • First time trying out base camp and it was wonderful! All the food was made well with just the right amount of flavor. Ingredients were fresh and their marshmallows and Graham crackers were homemade! We had the spring onions stew that had the perfect onion flavor and was not salty at all. The smoked trout croquettes with the perfect amount of smokiness and properly textured. There was the steak frites with chimmichuri sauce and wow!!! The bison Flatiron (locally sourced) was so tender. The chimmicburi sauce added a nice complement but didn't take away or over power the flavor of the meat. Next was the Shepard's pie and I'm honestly really picky with my lamb but they did not disappoint. It was a lamb stew and that sauce was nicely flavored and a bit thick. Then we had the BLAT which had a braised pork belly, pastry puff, tomato compote, and some avocado. Usually pork belly can be overly greasy but these were not. A bit of a messy dish but great flavor combos. For dessert we had the mint s'mores. I wanted to try this since the marshmallow and Graham crackers are homemade. I personally am not a mint chocolate fan so wasn't too enthused with that part. But the marshmallow was really good. Only wished the marshmallow was charred more. Overall, the food is excellent here. There isn't any overwhelming or overpowering flavors competing against each other. And nothing felt or tasted too oily or too rich. There was just such great balance and you can tell they use good quality ingredients. Lastly, the service was excellent. Our server Janelle (unsure if that is spelled right) was so warm and inviting. Gave us great suggestions and was overall very attentive and kind. Will definitely coming back! Hoping to try their homemade biscuits next time

We went with the “Choose your own adventure” and were 100% satisfied. Each course was delicious and well presented. 5 stars!
